Aligning HR with the business objectives

Thebes Group is a dynamic and highly innovative IT service provider who provides end-to-end infrastructure support and ancillary services to major corporations. They have 30 employees and numerous IT contractors.

Thebes asked Lotus HR to provide the additional HR support to bring business practices in line with the strategic direction of the business. The Lotus team worked alongside the Thebes HR manager to assist with the management of key aspects of improving their employment systems and HR arrangements.

Over a 12 month period Lotus has helped to resolve employee related queries as and when they arose; reviewed and improved employee relations processes such as the performance management system and delivered:

  • An HR helpdesk service for line managers who have an employee query. Managers receive immediate advice to help them solve issues speedily
  • Support to enhance the reputation of HR by providing unbiased, objective advice and guidance
  • A more professional ethos by ensuring HR practices are streamlined to the needs of the business
  • Assistance in the reduction of operating costs by managing underperforming employees efficiently
  • Skills for internal staff to improve relationships and communication
  • Clarity in how to handle staff issues swiftly to minimise bottom-line leakage due to unresolved issues.
