Yes, you heard correct!  In just under a year’s time, on the 25^th May 2018, the new EU General Data Protection Regulation (the “GDPR”) comes into force.

It will no doubt be sometime before dust from the Referendum and its resulting ‘out’ vote settles.

One might argue that despite the months of campaigning, the implications for ‘out’ were not really understood by UK citizens. Many may also be unaware that the Referendum decision is not necessarily final, Government does have the power to override the People’s decision and stay, but with the applecart already upset it would take a strong Prime Minister to back track.

Young people and education

26 June 2015 - All young people in England will need to participate in education or training until the age of 18.

As we know, October each year brings with it, a selection of revisited, updated or new legislation relating to employers and their employees.

Changes that came into effect as of 1^st October 14 are:

National Minimum Wage Increases

Adults:                  Rose from £6.31 to £6.50 per hour

18-20:    Rose from £5.03 to £5.13 per hour
